Dana T. DeSimon, 55, of Gettysburg passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the York Hospital.

He was born August 5, 1957 in Gettysburg the son of Gaynella C. (Tuckey) DeSimon, Gettysburg and the late Morris DeSimon.

Dana graduated from Messiah College with a BA in Behavioral Sciences and earned a Master of Planning from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. He was a published author of a book of poetry entitled "Discovering Darkness in the Light". Dana was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Gettysburg and was very active in the adult Sunday school class.

In addition to his mother, Dana is survived by his aunt, Ethel Kuntz, Gardners and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 at 2 PM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg with Rev. Michael E. Allwein officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM and on Friday from 1 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wenksville Cemetery, Wenksville.
