Christine E. Kemper, 91, formerly of York Springs, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Spirit Trust Lutheran, the Village at Gettysburg. She was the loving wife of Donald E. Kemper who died January 10, 2003.

She was born December 27, 1924 in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Guy R. and Dora (Hinkle) Wolf.

Mrs. Kemper was a member of Mount Olivet United Church of Christ, East Berlin and the Ladies Auxiliary of the York Springs Fire Company. She was an avid card player, enjoyed flowers and gardening and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary "Cookie" Coulson and husband Carl, York Springs; son-in-law, Larry Haines, Spring Grove; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a great, great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vonnie "Sis" Haines; son, Donald E. McCauslin; grandson, Douglas E. McCauslin; sisters, Margaret Rinehart, Pauline Wonders, Rosella Kennedy and Romaine Kennedy and brothers, Millard A. Wolf and Samuel E. Wolf.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 2 PM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg with Rev. Judy Clark officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Wednesday from 1 PM until the start of the service at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be, Daniel Haines, Dennis Haines, Dale Haines, Dori Haines, Craig West and Brian West. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg, PA.
