She was born March 16, 1935 in Stewartstown, PA the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Lily (Branch) Doss.

Charlotte was employed at various sewing factories and retired from Hadco, Littlestown. She was a member of The Healer's House Ministries, Randallstown, MD. Charlotte enjoyed camping and Bluegrass music festivals and most of all loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Dale Doss and wife Kaye, Hanover, Amos Ferguson, III and wife Angie, Taneytown, MD and Jeff Ferguson and wife Terrie, Orrtanna, grandchildren, Marla Schoberg and husband Chuck, Taneytown, MD, Amos Ferguson, IV, Hanover, Megan Ferguson, Deerfield, IN, Candace Ferguson, Orrtanna, Dylan Ferguson, Orrtanna and Joey Klinedinst, Deer Lodge, MT, great grandchildren, Steven Schoberg and Madalyn Schoberg both of Taneytown, MD and Amos Ferguson, V and Hunter Ferguson both of Mt. Airy, MD and sister, Margaret Blanchard, Coco Beach, FL.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Duane Doss, three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 11 AM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg with Pastors Larry and Lisa Fox officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM and on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Following the service at the funeral home, family and friends are invited to the Villa of Gettysburg (next to the Giant on Route 30 in Gettysburg) for a time of fellowship and refreshments.

Contributions to help defray funeral expenses may be made to the funeral home.
