Catherine P. Thomas, 87 of Fayetteville and formerly of Gettysburg passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Village of Laurel Run. She was the wife of the late Paul F. Thomas who died January 23, 1979 and the late Clarence R. Thomas who died October 4, 2006.

She was born December 27, 1923 in Forman, WV the daughter of the late Calvin O. and Myrtle (Groves) Turner.

Mrs. Thomas was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Arendtsville where she was also a member of the altar guild. She had been employed with Gettysburg Transformer for many years.

She is survived by her son Ronald P. Thomas and his wife Shirley of Gettysburg; sister, Ruth Stitt of Hanover; grandson, Ronald P. Thomas, Jr. and his wife Tina of Biglerville; granddaughter, Tammy Stuller and her husband Kenneth of Biglerville; five great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

The funeral will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 10 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 38 North High Street, Arendtsville with Rev. Robert C. Blezard officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Friday, October 21, 2011 from 6 until 8 PM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg. A second viewing will be held Saturday from 9 AM until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Arendtsville.
