Carol E. (Boldt) Cole, 90 of York, formerly of Gettysburg passed away peacefully at Seaton Springwood on Sunday, January 11, 2026.  She was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Cole.

Born July 22, 1935 in Elma, NY, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Florence Boldt.

Mrs. Cole and her husband, Richard were the proud owners / operators of Fiddle Faddle, a craft store in Gettysburg.  Carol is fondly remembered for her personal interactions with customers and tourists.  She loved people, and always made friends quickly.  In addition to running the family business, she also enjoyed gardening and rug hooking.

Carol is survived by three children: Richard Cole, Jr. and wife Jane of Millsboro, DE, Stephanie E. Hiester and husband Richard of Manassas, VA and Andrew Cole of Hagerstown, MD.; six grandchildren: Michelle Cole, Matthew Cole, Jessica Cole, Christopher Cole, Meghan Cole, Amy Cole and Kyle Hiester; several great-grandchildren and two siblings: Barbara Granger and husband Harland and Al Boldt and wife Carol.

Carol's life will be celebrated in private by her family.

Arrangements are entrusted to Peters Funeral Home, Inc. in Gettysburg.
