C. David Ruff, 72, of Gettysburg, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at his home.
He was born August 5, 1941 in Sunbury, PA and was the son of the late Charles A. and Lola V. Ruff of Northumberland, PA.
He was a devoted member of Foursquare Church in Gettysburg.
He will be incredibly missed by his surviving wife of 41 years, Marion E. Ruff and his children David M. Ruff and wife, Ann of Mechanicsburg, Kelly A. Lawver and husband, Douglas R. of Gettysburg, C. Daniel Ruff of Villas, NJ, and Michael T. Ruff of Milton. In addition he was the proud grandfather to Kierstyn, Zachary and Addison Lawver of Gettysburg, Michael E. Ruff of Bothell, WA, Zack R. Martin of Burgettstown, PA, and Jace Ruff of Villas NJ.
"Dave" graduated in 1959 from Northumberland High School, Northumberland PA and served in the US Army until 1962 when he received an Honorable Discharge. He was active in the local business community for over 40 years having started in the restaurant business in Biglerville with Dave's Village Restaurant and later establishing the iconic Lincoln Diner in Gettysburg which he sold in 1978. In May 1980 he became the Broker/Owner of CENTURY 21 Neighborhood Realty, Inc. in Gettysburg and served two terms as the President of the Hanover-Adams County Board of Realtors. He sold CENTURY 21 Neighborhood Realty, Inc. in September 2002 when he "retired" only to pursue another career in web design and development.

If you wish to attend the Memorial Service, it will be held on Saturday, May 17 @ 1:00 p.m. at Foursquare Church on Middle St in Gettysburg.

Memorial Services will be privately held at Gettysburg Foursquare Church with Pastor Mark Chester. Memorial contributions may be made to Foursquare Church or to St. Paul's AME Zion Church of Gettysburg. Arrangements are being handled by Peters Funeral Home.
