Betty Jane Yingling, 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2026. She was born August 9, 1932, in Gettysburg, to Raymond R. Stotler and Elsie V Bolen Malone. She was a 1950 graduate from Gettysburg High School. She married Harold L. “Red” Yingling in 1956. She worked at Shaffer’s Ice Cream Parlor, Gettysburg Motor’s Inc and spent eight years as the Deputy County Treasurer of Adams County. In 1960, she started dealing in antiques and collectibles with her husband, Harold, and their business became known as Yingling’s Collectibles (they were nationally recognized with different collections). She also assisted with day-to-day operations at Yingling’s Auction, formally owned and operated by her sons Keith L. Yingling and Kevin R. Yingling. Betty lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting and spending time with family, religiously playing bingo and traveling to Atlantic City, and enjoying various game shows that played regularly on the television. Betty’s beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her children: Keith L. Yingling and significant other, Nina Chudakova and Kevin R. Yingling and significant other, Cyndi Lawson, grandchildren: Owen A. Yingling, Elena E. Yingling, Charity E. Yingling, Faith M. Yingling, Hope M. Yingling and Patience N. Yingling, great grandchildren: Aviana M. Yingling, Autumn J. Yingling, Zayne E. Yingling, Parker L. Yingling, Mykenzi A. Yingling, Waylon A. Yingling, Kaylin G. Yingling, Harper W. Millhimes, and Kayce W. Millhimes. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. “Red” Yingling. She will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held at 11 am, followed by a 12 pm memorial service on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at the Barlow Fire Department; 2005 Taneytown Rd. in Gettysburg to gather and honor her life.
