Obituary

Betty J. (Harman) Miller, 88 of Gettysburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Genesis Healthcare Gettysburg Center. She was the loving wife of the late Monroe L. Miller whom passed away May 7, 1982.

Born June 17, 1927 in Cashtown, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Jane E. "Carrie" (Galloway) Harman.

Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she cherished spending time with her family and friends. Throughout her life, Betty was very active in many church activities and adored the birds around her house that she fed regularly, her cats and a loving fan of the New York Yankees; she also loved to drink coffee and eat cheeseburgers and fish sandwiches from McDonalds.

Betty is survived by five sons, Terry L. Miller and his wife Donna of Fairfield, Robert L. Miller and his wife Dottie of New Oxford, Larry M. Miller and his wife Robin of Gettysburg, Rick G. Miller and his wife Kay of Gettysburg, Dennis E. Miller and his wife Laura of New Oxford; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; many loving friends and extended family members including a dear friend Ruth Miller.

In addition to her parents and husband Betty, was preceded in death by five siblings.

A service to celebrate the life of Betty J. (Harman) Miller will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA with Rev. Charles W. Best officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and then again on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Great Conewago Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Gettysburg. Pallbearers will be; Larry M. Miller, Jr., Neil M. Miller, Kory M. Miller, Scott A. Miller, Shane A. Miller, and Robert L. Miller, Jr.
