Obituary

Barry W. Felder passed away at his residence on July 12, 2011. Beloved husband of Betsy A., devoted son of the late Howard and Florence, loving brother of Stephen and Barbara Beaulieu and dear uncle of 12 nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews.

After having served proudly in the USAF, Barry stopped in Gettysburg on his way back to New York. The area was love at first sight and as a result he came here every time he had to spend time on the battlefield, always having the desire to live here.

He was employed as a delivery driver in New York for many years by the same employer and upon moving to Gettysburg became employed by the Gettysburg Food Service as a driver where he worked for a number of years.

Barry was a member of American Legion Post 202 for 28 years. He craved his dogs, Orioles and Packers and loved spending time collecting and sorting his teams' memorabilia.

On behalf of the family, thanks so much to Drs. Satish Shah, Vincent Capostagno and Abroo Nawaz for not only their treatment of Barry but for their kind insight and concern. They truly made it so much better for Barry.

God Bless the Lutheran Home Care and Hospice Staff for their strong caring and sincere support, giving Barry his last wish to be surrounded by his loved ones. A special thanks to Chaplain Dan and social worker Ted for amazing grace.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 11 AM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg with Chaplain Dan Summers officiating. A time to share memories will be from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
