Barbara A. Snyder, 62, of Fairfield, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Gettysburg Hospital. She was the loving wife of Arthur L. "Art" Snyder of Fairfield. Together they shared 32 years of marriage.

She was born May 7, 1953 in Patterson, NJ, the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Kayhart) Meyer.

Barbara received her Bachelor's Degree from Glassboro University in Glassboro, NJ and her Master's Degree from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She was the art teacher at Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown since 2001. Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband Art, she is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Zoltowski and husband David of Lansdale and Elizabeth Gordon and husband Jacob of Huntingdon; grandchildren, James, William and Stephen Zoltowski and Dorothy Gordon; and sister, Judith Muller and husband Ward of Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

A service to celebrate the life of Barbara A. Snyder will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 7 PM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg with Rev. Joyce Shutt officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Wednesday from 6 PM until the start of the service at the funeral home.
