On November 21, 2017, Barbara Rae Myers Beaver Lookingbill entered into the eternal Kingdom of Heaven at the age of 84 years at The Village of Laurel Run in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters Valerie Beaver Herring (Rusty) and Susan Beaver Hood (Guy). Barbara will also be fondly remembered by her four grandchildren Natalie, Caleb, Hannah and Sarah, by her siblings Ethel Olson and Martin Myers and by her step children, Roy Beaver (Lisa), Joy Beaver Herring, William Lookingbill, Brian Lookingbill (Missy) and Brenda Iaccarino (Thomas). Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Harold M. Myers and Rev. Eliza M. (Reese) Myers, her husbands, Rev. Martin Levine Beaver and William Lookingbill and her sister, Roberta Myers.

Barbara was born on April 29, 1933 in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from nursing school at Church Home and Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Barbara also graduated from Life Bible College in San Dimas, California and was a nurse for decades at various locations until retirement, serving others her entire life.

A Funeral Service in memory of Barbara will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg with Pastor Mark Chester officiating.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment will follow in the family plot at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg.
