Obituary

Annie Lois Curtis, 86, of Fayetteville and formerly of Gettysburg, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Chambersburg Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Horace Curtis.

She was born January 5, 1933 in New Brockton, Alabama, the daughter of the late Maudie Cly Hamilton.

Annie enjoyed music, Western movies, baseball, especially the Baltimore Orioles and loved chocolate.

She is survived by her son, Harold Curtis and wife Leisa, Chambersburg; daughter, Sybil "Sylvia" Jones and companion Michael Tubbs, Chambersburg; brother, Jesse Hamilton, New York, NY; sister, Mary Madry, Miami, FL; nieces, Annie Smiley, Gettysburg and Marie Williams, Newark, DE; nephews, Ricky Williams, York, Wayne Williams, Camp Hill and Melvin Williams, Houtzdale; seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and many other nieces and nephews.

Annie was preceded in death by her son, Harvey Curtis, sister, Lucille Williams and long-time companion, David "Skip" Brown.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 12 noon at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg with Rev. George Jones and Rev. Tyrone Johnson officiating.  A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Monday from 11 AM until the start of the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg.
