Albert J. Plank, Jr., 81 of Emmitsburg, MD entered into God's eternal care on January 1, 2019 at St. Joseph's Place.  He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy M. (Bowers) Plank, who passed away on October 22, 2007.

Born March 5, 1937 in Gettysburg, he was a son of the late Albert J. Plank, Sr. and Pauline E. (Garrett) "Peg" Plank.

Albert was employed as a mechanic, most recently with Action Truck and formerly with Lincoln Way Sales & Service.  He was also an avid hunter, and a Pennsylvania State Horseshoe Champion.

Mr. Plank is survived by 3 children: Michael E. Plank and his wife, Terri of Littlestown, Linda S. Green and her husband, Larry of Gettysburg and Joan S. Hobbs and her husband, Jim of Fairfield; 5 grandchildren: Justin Plank (U.S. Navy) and his wife, Peyton, Sadie Green, Seth Green, Derrick Hobbs and Dalton Hobbs; 1 great-grandson, Hunter Plank and 3 siblings: Mary Englebert, Robert Plank and Jerry Plank.

A viewing will be held at Peters Funeral Home; 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg on Thursday, January 3 ^rd from 6-9pm, and again on Friday, January 4 ^th from 10-11am, followed by a funeral service beginning at 11am.  Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Gettysburg.
